Getting started

  1. Install and open Cliporin — it appears in the menu bar as a scissors icon.
  2. Copy anything in any app — it's silently added to history.
  3. Press ⌘⇧V to open the popover, pick an item, press ↵ to paste.
  4. On first launch, choose English or Hebrew.

Common questions

I don't see the menu bar icon

Cliporin is a menu-bar app with no Dock icon. Look for the scissors icon near the clock. If the menu bar is crowded, hold ⌘ and drag other icons to make room.

Passwords appear in history

Add the app's bundle ID under Preferences → Privacy → Excluded apps. Copies from excluded apps are never saved. 1Password, Bitwarden, and Keychain Access are excluded by default.

Auto-paste doesn't work

Accessibility permission required. Enable auto-paste in Preferences → General, then allow Cliporin in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

If you'd rather not grant Accessibility, leave auto-paste off and press ⌘V manually.

Change the global shortcut

Open Preferences → Shortcut, click the shortcut field, and press your desired combination. It must include at least one of ⌘ ⌥ ⌃ ⇧. The change applies immediately.

Clear all history

Click Clear in the popover footer to remove unpinned history. Pinned items are preserved.

To erase all data completely, quit Cliporin and run in Terminal:

defaults delete com.cliporin.app

Languages

English and Hebrew are supported. Change language in Preferences → General.
